1. Who we are
This website is operated by Urban Legal & Corporate, 362, Bal Mukund Khand, Giri Nagar, Kalkaji, New Delhi – 110019 (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website, within the meaning of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
2. What information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to share with us:
- Consultation request form: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the nature of your matter and the description you write.
- Direct contact: any information you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- Disclaimer acceptance: a small note saved in your own browser (local storage) so the Bar Council disclaimer is not shown on every visit. It is not sent to us.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
3. How the consultation form works
Depending on the option you choose, the form either opens WhatsApp or your email app with your message pre-filled (nothing is sent until you press send in that app), or submits your message to us through a secure form-delivery service that forwards it to our email inbox. Messages sent through WhatsApp or email are also subject to the privacy policies of those services.
4. Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and schedule a consultation.
- To understand your matter and assess how we may be able to assist.
- To comply with our professional and legal obligations.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the form or contact us. Contacting us through this website does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship.
5. Confidentiality and security
Information about your matter is treated as confidential. We take reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, misuse or loss. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive documents through the website form; we will share a suitable way to send documents after we speak.
6. Sharing with others
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- service providers that help us run this website or receive enquiries (for example, the form-delivery service and our email provider), only as needed to provide those services;
- where required by law, a court order or a competent authority; or
- with your consent, where needed to act on your matter.
7. Third-party content on this website
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts and shows our office location using an embedded Google Map. When these load, your browser connects to Google, which may receive your IP address and technical information under Google’s own privacy policy. Links to WhatsApp, social media or other websites are governed by those services’ policies.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to respond to you and, where you engage us, for as long as required for the matter and our professional and legal record-keeping obligations. After that, the data is deleted.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may, subject to applicable law:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and
- raise a grievance with us, and, if it is not resolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Contact and grievances
For any privacy request or grievance, write to contacturbanlegal@gmail.com or call +91 98997 70083 (Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM). We will respond within a reasonable time.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
